In 1978 Jim Johnston had a vision to develop a startup engineering firm focused on providing an enhanced quality of engineering design services for the building construction industry. The inclusion of senior level personnel involvement on each project would lead to a core group of selected clients providing repeat design services. It is apparent these 1978 goals were achieved and many of those early year clients continue to provide repeat business opportunities for JJA, Inc. Jim Johnston provided that hands-on management approach for projects and clients while taking time from each day to mentor and develop the JJA staff. This "teacher" mentality developed many excellent engineers in the mechanical and electrical disciplines of the building construction industry and many who remain at JJA. We are proud of Jim's vision and dedicated effort building JJA and its quality reputation. Jim continues to counsel the firm as an advisor and sounding board for the engineering staff at JJA assuring his vision continues. |
